Lords Mobile speed-ups: every size, and what they cost in gems

How long each speed-up really is, how to add up the ones you own, and why the biggest shop speed-ups are the cheapest per hour.

Almost everything in Lords Mobile runs on a timer: buildings, research, training and healing. Speed-ups take time off those timers. They come in fourteen sizes, from one minute to thirty days, and the useful thing to know is that they all reduce to the same unit, minutes. That makes them easy to add up.

To total a pile, multiply each size by how many you own and add the minutes. Our speed-up calculator does that for all fourteen sizes at once and tells you whether the total covers a timer you enter. Two 60-minute, one 3-hour, one 24-hour and one 30-day speed-up come to 31 days 5 hours, for example, which is 8 days 19 hours short of a 40-day timer.

What the shop charges per hour

The gem shop sells eight sizes of speed-up. Dividing each price by its length shows the cost per hour of time saved:

3 Hours300100

7 Days10,00060
30 Days40,00056

Bigger is cheaper. The 30-day speed-up costs about 56 gems an hour, against 130 for the 60-minute one, which is about 57% less for the same time. If you are going to buy speed-ups with gems at all, the large sizes are where the value is, and you do not need them in small pieces because they total the same.

Saving speed-ups for the timers that matter

The longest timers are research. The research cost guideshows how many days each research tree takes at base speed, which is the number to compare against your speed-up total. Starting the next build or research the moment one finishes is the repetitive part, and it is what Apex's farm bot does on every account it runs, around the clock.
